The CCM certification is a rigorous, competency-based board credential for physicians practicing across generalist disciplines—including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Practice, and Primary Care. This certification affirms a physician’s readiness to provide safe, equitable, and evidence-based care across a broad clinical spectrum.
✅ Eligibility Requirements:
- MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent degree
- Valid medical license or proof of eligibility
- One of the following:
- ABCCM-recognized Fellowship,
- Primary Care, General Medicine Fellowship
- Residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics OR
- 2+ years of U.S. supervised clinical experience (For IMGs without residency in the US)
- English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS if required)
- Supporting Documents:
- Medical diploma & transcript
- Proof of licensure or eligibility(though new licensure pathways)
- Letter of recommendation or preceptor evaluation
